Himalayan Yak Cheese Dog Chew

Lady & Leo

Lady & Leo brings to Malaysia the first long-lasting, digestible and healthy dog chew, made with 100% natural ingredients, free from Gluten and Preservatives.

These dog chews are a hard cheese made in the mountain regions of the Himalayas, using ancient recipes, resulting in a hard and dense chew that softens with chewing. They are not only delicious but are high in protein and important minerals, like calcium.

The Yak Chews are available in Small, Medium and Large sizes, please refer to the guide below.

  • How to Choose the Size
Pick a dog chew size bigger than your dog's mouth. Generally speaking the small size is good for small breed dogs, medium size for medium sized dogs and large size for large breed dogs.

    Unsuitable Chewers
Due to its hard and dense texture, these yak chews are unsuitable for dogs suffering from Periodontal Disease, or have weak/damaged teeth.

    Monitoring and Supervising
Do supervise and monitor your dog while chewing if you are not familiar with their behaviour when handling these kinds of chew.

    Choking Hazard
Some dogs are prone to swallowing chew products, be sure to monitor that your dog is not trying to swallow the product whole.

    Swallowing a Piece of Chew
If your dog has gone through most of the chew (>80%) and swallowed the last bit of it, don't worry as the product is digestible and should pass through his/her system. It may result in him/her vomiting the undigested piece. However, you need to be cautious if it was a large piece that is choking your dog. If you are concerned, monitor him/her for signs of discomfort, listlessness, vomiting, lack of eating or drinking, and lack of bowel movements. Please consult the vet immediately.

    Time Spent Chewing
Do not allow your dog to chew all day. This could lead to dental issues and excessive consumption of the product may cause loose stools for dogs with sensitive stomach. We recommend giving it to your dog a few times a day for a short period of time - you may adjust according to your dog's chewing behaviour, for example shorter periods of time for power chewers etc.

    Too Small to Chew
When your dog has chewed the Yak Chew into a small enough piece, you may put the product in the microwave for 30-45 seconds to turn it into a puff (refer to the product photo). Once out of the microwave, be sure to let the puff cool before chewing (Not you, your dog!). It becomes a lighter bread-like product which can be fully consumed/chewed.

    Long-lasting?
The length at which this product will last depends on your dog. If your dog is a gentle chewer who takes his/her time gnawing on the product, then it will naturally last longer than power chewers who may go through the product in a few days.

    Storage
These chews are long-lasting for most dogs. After each chew sessions, we recommend that you wipe it dry and store it in a cool dry place. As it is a cheese product, moist conditions may lead to moulding.
