Above guide based on per day servings.

Your dog's nutritional requirements will vary according to age, breed, climate, stress and activity levels. When switching to Timberwolf pet foods, gradually increase the amount fed while decreasing the previous food over a 5 - 14 day period.

Overfeeding can also cause digestive upset and should be adjusted accordingly. You will find that you will feed as little as half of what you were previously feeding. Please do not overfeed. After an initial adjustment period, your dog should have small, well-formed, well-digested stools with no odour. We do not use any artificial stool hardeners, however, so it’s possible that stress, upset stomach due to eating from the garbage or yard, bacterial or viral infection, an insufficient adjustment period, or overfeeding can cause a stool that’s not very well digested.

Dogs that are stressed, working, lactating, or whelping should be fed near the high end of the above range. Please adjust accordingly. Puppies eat much more per body weight than adults. Some breeders recommend letting the puppy eat as much as it wants.

Senior dogs need less as they begin to slow down, and the quality of the food becomes even more important as major organs gradually begin to lose their vitality as part of the body’s natural aging process. Reduction of energy, whilst maintaining the quality can be achieved without hunger pangs by reducing the amount of food and adding low energy treats such as cooked green vegetables. The amounts fed should be adjusted according to the individual aging dog and evaluated according to the dogs overall weight and condition. Over-feeding should be avoided as it is one of the greatest causes of early demise.

Timberwolf pet foods are formulated to meet AAFCO nutrient profiles for All Life Stages.
